The cuisine at Sissitio could be called traditional Greek, but with a twist. Its ethnic creative inspiration and its difference compared to the rest of Greece is due to the cultural influences that Rhodes has been subject to in its long history of assimilating different peoples, cultures and civilizations.
Our gastronomical identity has a great cultural and emotional value and stems from a holistic approach that combines a wide variety of flavors, high-quality ingredients and unique fusion recipes, bringing quality and artistic aestheticism to your plate. What matters to us is the complete “imprint” of the gastronomical ritual, with seasonal ingredients that do not require intensive cultivation, but are grown in an organic way and undergo as little processing as possible.

The menu is served daily from 12:00 to 18:00.

Marriage of cultures with a scent of the Aegean
At Sissitio restaurant, gastronomy is synonymous to this marriage of cultures with a scent of the Aegean. Where the organic Rhodian olive oil, the unique seafood and fish caught in the surrounding waters, the certified pulses from South Rhodes, the home-made pasta and the locally grown vegetables are married to the aromas of pepper, thyme, rosemary and marjoram.
The chef and his team create unique dishes with artistry, imagination and professional quality. You have to try the pitaroudia (local beignets) with mushrooms, the Rhodian salad with organic cherry tomatoes, fresh sea fennel and rusks from Astypalaia…
We also cater for sushi lovers, as Sissitio combines classical flavours with creative Aegean tastes, such as the calamari sushi with a strawberry dressing, among many of our team’s creations.
